Upcycling workshops at Westfield’s Good Festival

As Part of westfields good festival, lydia ran x3 days of upcycling workshops. There were x4 workshops each day and attendees learnt how to patchwork, repair and ‘couching’ techniques.

The workshops ran in Westfields, Stratford and were open to members of the public. This made it a really accessible event and allowed all ages to learn and practice their hand sewing skills. Participants left feeling more equipped with using a needle and thread as well as learning specific mending techniques they can use in the future to repair their clothing. They also left feeling more mindful and creative as sewing workshops give the space to reconnect with your hands and focusing on something in a slow and considered way.
